It has been 11 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This year, we will be offering Kitakata ramen for 500 yen as a way to contribute to the reconstruction of Tohoku, and we will donate 10 yen per bowl to the certified non-profit organization Sakura Line 311.

Even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, people in Tohoku are working hard to rebuild, so that no one will have to endure the pain of a disaster like the earthquake. We, along with all of you Sakauchi fans, would like to support the Tohoku reconstruction effort, so please support us with a bowl of ramen.

★About Sakura Line 311, a Certified Nonprofit Organization★
This is an organization that works to plant cherry trees at the points where the tsunami that occurred during the Great East Japan Earthquake reached its deepest points, in order to preserve the memory of the tsunami.
The maximum reach of the tsunami is about 170 km if drawn as a line. In order to protect yourself and your loved ones in the event of another tsunami hitting Rikuzentakata, we are planting cherry trees at 10m intervals to create a row of 17,000 cherry trees, in order to preserve the memory of the Great East Japan Earthquake for future generations. As of the end of April 2021, 1,858 trees have been planted throughout Rikuzentakata City.
